SkyRecon LLC ("SkyRecon", "we", "us", "our") is a Delaware-registered company that develops portable ADS-B receivers and CO detectors for general aviation pilots. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website at skyrecon.net.

When you use our contact form or enter our giveaway, we collect:

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information through Google Analytics (GA4), including:

Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. These cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) are set by Google and expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively. No other tracking cookies are set by our website.
How We Use Your Data
- Contact form submissions: To respond to your enquiry via email. Submissions are forwarded to our team at webforms@skyrecon.net and your email is added to our mailing list (see below).
- Giveaway entries: To enter you into our device giveaway and send occasional SkyRecon updates. Your details are stored in our Mailchimp mailing list.
- Analytics: To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify individuals.
- Preorders: Preorder transactions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that process your data:
- Google Analytics (GA4): Website analytics. Data is processed by Google LLC. Google's privacy policy.
- Mailchimp (Intuit): Email list management for giveaway entries and contact form subscribers. Intuit's privacy statement.
- Resend: Transactional email delivery for contact form forwarding. Resend's privacy policy.
- Stripe: Payment processing for preorders. Stripe's privacy policy.
- Railway: Website hosting. Railway's privacy policy.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained in our email system for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. Mailing list subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google's default retention period for GA4).
Your Rights
Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time (via the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us)
